Weekly Thought (week of 10-21-2024) [PART 1]
"I love the Lord, because He has heard [and now hears] my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live."
Psalm 116:1-2 (AMPC)
Think about it!
I am grateful that we have a God who we can go to with our concerns and questions. I am thankful that I can come to Him with my prayer requests for this nation (The United States of America), our children, our neighborhoods and our world. Our God wants to hear from His saints! Our God wants to hear our cries for the conditions of this world. There is so, so much going with the violence in our land (shootings on the streets, shooting on mass transit, shootings in our schools, and wars). There is so much going with mental illness in our communities. There are so many people that are sick in their bodies. There are so many people affected by the massive amounts of hurricanes & tornadoes (whether they lost loved ones or their houses were damaged/destroyed). We have a presidential election coming in November that can decide in which direction this country will move, whether fixing the economy and other things that will take us forward, or things that will take us backward & destroy this country.
